About Me

Julia (she/her) is an avid reader and writer (mainly of poetry) from New York, who has had her work recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. She has previously attended the Bard at Simon's Rock Young Writers Workshop, and this summer is excited to be headed to the Sewanee Young Writers Conference. Drawing inspiration from masterful artists such as Ocean Vuong, Richard Siken, and Margret Atwood, she strives to create writing that demonstrates the ability of words to allow us to see both the world, and ourselves more clearly. In her free time she enjoys reading in the sunlight of her backyard, baking lemon scones, and of course spending time with her cat.
